The number of positive cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) increased to 410 on Thursday, with 51 more patients detected in the last 24 hours. So far, positive cases have been reported in 40 districts. The highest number of infections was found in Agra, with 83 cases, followed by Noida (63).

Nineteen new cases were discovered in Agra, followed by six in the Saharpur district, four in each of the districts of Firozabad and Muzaffarnagar and three in each of the districts of Noida, Meerut and Pratapgarh. The districts of Gaziabad, Bagpat and Amroha each reported two cases, while Kanpur, Hardoi and Aurray each reported one case.

At least 30 new patients are linked to a tablet amate event held last month in Nizamuddin district of New Delhi, said Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad. The Community is responsible for hundreds of cases throughout India. Of the total number of positive cases, 225 are linked to this group.

The Director-General of the police, Hitesh Chandra Awasthi, has called on those involved in the events in Jamaat, but not under the supervision of the authorities, to voluntarily introduce a quarantine.

The head of state police said Wednesday that so far 1,573 people have been prosecuted in connection with the event and 1,268 people have been quarantined. The officials found that 265 of these persons came from other States and their information was forwarded to the authorities of those States. The officials also seized the passports of 259 of the 323 foreigners quarantined for belonging to the Community. The rest is from Nepal, Mr. Awasthi added.

There are currently 379 active cases of COVID-19 in the state, with 31 patients – 12 from Neuida, eight from Agra, five from Lucknow, three from Gaziabad and one each from Kanpur, Shamli and Pilibhit – leaving the hospital.

Unfortunately, four people with positive crowns died during the treatment, Amit Mohan Prasad told media representatives. The victims, including a 25-year-old man who died in Gorahpur, suffered from diseases related to the disease.

The state currently has nine laboratories testing samples for VIDOC-19. To date, they have examined 8,402 samples, 7,898 of which were negative. Results are expected from 94 samples.
